Looking the truth square in the face is deeply embarrassing at times… but hiding from the truth doesn’t make it any less so. I had to learn “Mastery” over a lifelong habit o numbing my emotions with food. I wanted to learn balance and grace under pressure, and I wanted to learn to maintain that balance in any challenge life presents me with.
"I was surprised at how emotional the Challenge was for me. It wasn’t until the end that I realized why….I had transformed the core of my identity while I transformed my body. I have discovered parts of me I doubted I would ever find.
